Yoga is one of the most effective practices for relieving mental and physical stress, so the body can rest and renew. Because early recovery from addiction is a stressful time, we offer yoga to help reduce stress and allow your body and mind to recover from the addiction cycle. Yoga also improves concentration, creativity, decision-making, and alertness.

At Pacific Solstice we partner with Light Path Yoga + Wellness to offer small group yoga classes that suit our clients’ individual needs and meet them where they are today. At our outpatient rehab, we also offer iRest Yoga Nidra, a system of mindfulness meditation that creates a deep state of relaxation in order to develop greater self-awareness, focus and loving acceptance. The result is sustained feelings of freedom, wellbeing and joy, as well as personal empowerment to respond to whatever arises in life. iRest is highly effective in healing Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, chronic pain, insomnia, depression and anxiety, which are all associated with addictions. The practice can be done in a group, and ultimately becomes a protocol that can be done anywhere at any time after you leave treatment.

At our outpatient rehab, we also offer iRest Yoga Nidra.

This system of mindfulness meditation – known as “sleep of the yogi” – puts the body in a complete state of relaxation in order to develop attention training, deep self-awareness and loving acceptance of what is. The result is awakening to our True Nature and experiencing sustained feelings of well-being and joy, as well as the empowerment to respond to whatever arises in life.
