Intensive Outpatient (IOP)
Outpatient treatment designed for you
To effectively treat autism, trauma, anxiety, depression, trauma, grief disorders, family codependence, alcohol and substance use disorders, eating disorders, and more, we use science, not the insurance formulary to drive the treatment plan. We provide ethical and customized care that addresses specific needs, strengths, preferences, and goals of each individual — where they are in their life journey. Insurance companies limit how far a patient can go in treatment, we base our planning on screening, assessment, treatment plan progress and the interdisciplinary treatment team recommendations. As a team, we gather daily to ensure we serve patients comprehensively to get each individual and family to a place of thriving and trust.
An individualized approach empowers you while giving you a higher probability of relief from suffering. Beyond looking at symptoms, we treat the whole person (all body systems) to find and address the underlying causes of the issue or disorder. Our Intensive Outpatient cohort is a diverse, tailored program that lays the foundation for long-term recovery. Practical tools and knowledge you can use for life, not just when you are with us in our day or night IOP program.
Recovering from a drug or alcohol addiction is a continuous process. Our outpatient drug and alcohol treatment program provides patients with the individualized, ongoing care they need to be clean and sober while working, attending school, and rebuilding their lives and interpersonal relationships. This allows individuals to get the benefits of conventional therapy without disrupting their daily routine.
Intensive outpatient programs are a great option for people who don't need 24-hour monitoring, but wish to participate in a program after residential treatment - these give you something to do while you work toward your recovery and introduce you to things you could do after the program is over. However, IOP comes only after PHP. Patients in our bundled care begin at RTC Crisis Stabilization Mental Health or PHP (if adult), and Teen Academy (if teen). They may be able to receive OP care like therapy or psychiatry. Perhaps most importantly, intensive outpatient programs provide a safe environment for you to discuss the difficulties you are experiencing in early recovery as you learn to live without drugs and alcohol.
Whether you are struggling with self-medicating, anxiety, depression, an eating disorder and/or the unseen wounds as a survivor of crime or war, you are not alone, and we understand and feel empathy with what you are going through. Our integrative, trauma-informed approach to medicine makes all the difference, not just in your mental health, but in all spheres of life: physical, emotional, spiritual, financial, legal, and social. There is hope and a path to the life you want.

Addressing Attention and Focus in the Intensive Outpatient Program
Many parents are concerned about their children's ability to focus, as research indicates that excessive use of digital devices can lead to “digital dementia,” which negatively impacts cognitive function—a study published in the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) found that children using digital devices for more than two hours a day are at a significantly higher risk of developing attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) symptoms.
At Solstice, our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) supports individuals facing various mental health challenges, including attention and focus issues.
Our program incorporates:
- Therapeutic interventions. Utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to enhance coping skills and address attention-related challenges.
- Holistic approaches. Including mindfulness practices, nutritional guidance, and physical activities to counteract the negative effects of digital distractions.
- Education on digital use. Providing insights into the impacts of excessive screen time and electromagnetic radiation (EMF) from devices, promoting balanced technology use.
By focusing on these areas, our IOP empowers individuals to effectively manage their mental health while fostering a supportive environment for recovery and well-being in the context of modern digital challenges.
